Dr. Delia Marie Malone received a Bachelors of Arts from Loyola University in Chicago Illinois. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in 2018 after externships in Vision Therapy, Vision Rehabilitation, and Low Vision. While in school Dr. Malone volunteered at Alivio Clinic to provide much needed care for underserved Spanish speaking populations.
Dr. Malone has completed clinical rotations at the New Haven VA Hospital, the Illinois Eye Institute, and in binocular vision. Dr. Malone has received extensive training in visual rehabilitation, vision therapy, pediatric examination, and ocular disease. As a primary eye care doctor she enjoys addressing binocular difficulties often overlooked by primary care providers.
Dr. Malone provided eye care to underserved populations through mission trips to El Salvador while at the Illinois College of Optometry. She is also an active member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In her free time, she can be found biking in the streets of Chicago or on her Peloton, at community fairs, or listening to live music.
